Tucson Gem Show 2022: Day Three

Is it just me or does every day keep getting awesomer and awesomer?!?

Began today visiting my wonderful Russian folks and hand selected a bunch of beautiful unique material from them: charoite, seraphinite, shungite, astrophyllite & eudialyte! In different shapes and sizes. And they made me a raccoon box which made my heart smile!!! Then on to hotel row for more rocks! Picking up lots of super particular material I had on my list and also letting my eye wander enough to catch anything exciting I passed by while walking! I made it back to the pietersite folks yay!!! Looking for another vendor I ran into this phenomenal Peruvian epidote and ended up just snagging the whole flat!

I got to meet my wonderful South Africa// Mauritian vendors irl after ordering from them online for the past year or so and picked up some gorgeous Namibian sodalite I had been on the search for. It’s a sodalightful year at Tucson! And also snagged two other favorites, some super aesthetic malacolla (malachite chrysocolla) and small Namibian black tourmaline points! I also snagged two old stock dumortierite spheres which I know y’all will be psyched for! Noah got an actual meteorite sphere for himself too, he is very excited.

Then on the way “out” I ran in to my other fav places Brazil folks and got the most stunning gem cut shaped quartz (rose quartz in the first photo!) plus smoky and a few Bahia amethyst gems and a few top notch collection prices. Oh and the anchor pieces for the Tucson boxes which are a secret still shhhh. Decided to end there and pick up tomorrow for a few odds and ends still on my list! What an insanely successful gem show day.
